Square Mile Coffee - Kochere
COF-SQ-0014The Kochere washing station in Yirgacheffe's Gedeo Zone processes cherries from 350 smallholder farmers, who cultivate Kurume, Dega, and Welisho varietals at 1800-1900 masl. The cherries undergo underwater fermentation for 36 hours, followed by washing and sun-drying on raised beds for 12-15 days. The result is an elegant and refined coffee, showcasing the high quality and traditional practices of the region.
