Tasting Notes: Mango, Red Ripe Fruits, Cocoa

This experimental lot is inspired by the emotional connection of the producer's family to the coffee community as a whole. Coffee farming, processing, and distribution for consumption have been kept in silos and their family believes this can change. The idea of this coffee is to provide the most authentic coffee cup of Rwandan coffee to coffee lovers, making the consumer think of the producer as the grower also keeps the buyer in mind when processing the coffee.

Complex and Juicy

Dialing in this coffee was very interesting, at higher temps you get the tropical fruits, but a bit of the processing comes through. I dialed it back to around 92C and man was this a delight. Got the mango and cacao notes and the after taste was like Pina colada ish. Very good, would purchase again!

Very complex flavor. Great quality from Dak as usual.

Clean and fruity

Fantastic quality of coffee and outstanding value. Cleaner, fruitier, without tasting overly fermented or processed. I ordered the 1kg bag of this and wish I ordered more. This was one of those coffees that you can tell will be special once you open the bag.

Very fruity

I’m getting the mango and blueberry as described in the notes. Nice lingering finish.

A bit too funky for me

I’ve really enjoyed most offerings by Dak but this one was my least favourite so far.
It came off as too experimental for me. Difficult to explain but I didn’t find the fruity notes they described.
