Privacy and Security Policy

We take your privacy and security very, very seriously.

Information Collected
We collect personal information (name, address, email address etc) when you fill in a form on our website that requests it. When you sign up to our mailing list, we only ask for your email address. When you order products from us, we collect more information - such as your name and mailing address.

All payments are collected through our Merchant Services provider (Stripe, Shopify, and PayPal), and we never see or store any of your credit card or payment details.

Security
Our website is PCI Compliant. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an information security standard for organizations that handle credit card and debit card information. Defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, the standard was created to increase controls around credit card data to reduce credit card fraud via its exposure.

Cookies
Cookies are handy little files that help us serve up a great website for you. They remember things like what you put in your basket, or the last time you logged in. By nature, cookies do not store personal information, and when they save things like passwords, it is always encrypted. Our cookies are not, and cannot be shared with third party companies.

We also allow Google to store cookies from our website. This helps us use things like Google Analytics (to see traffic on our site, but not any specific user data), Google Fonts, hosted jQuery libraries, and Google+. Most sites you visit these days will probably be setting cookies from Google for various services.

We do not allow or implement any tracking or cookies from Spyware or ad tracking services. We kind of think it's creepy when you look at a product on one site, and are then bombarded with ads for that product on every other website you visit. This is called "remarketing", and we don't do it. We know if you want to buy the product from us, you'll be back.

Distribution of Information
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties our users' personally identifiable information. Ever.

The only exceptions to this would be if we ever needed to assist a government agency with fraud investigation. So don't try anything naughty. The Canadian Revenue Agency also periodically requests we share details of our online transactions with them for tax audit purposes.

Mailing List
If you sign up for our mailing list, we promise to only send you relevant info, no more than a few times a month. It's easy to unsubscribe, too - just click unsubscribe. This will remove you immediately. We would never, ever sell your email address on to another company.

SMS Messaging
By signing up for our SMS messaging, we promise to only send you relevant information maximum twice a week. If you would like to unsubscribe, text STOP to opt out of receiving texts. Your number will only be used for SMS marketing and nothing else. We would never sell your phone number to any other companies.
