Muchagara, part of the Baragwi FCS in Kirinyaga, sources cherries from 1,700 smallholder farmers around the village. The coffee is predominantly SL28 and SL34 varieties, meticulously processed with disc pulping, fermentation, and extended washing, followed by 21 days of drying on raised beds. This produces a juicy and sweet cup with vibrant citrus and caramelized sugar notes, alongside a distinct crisp acidity.

Coffee is a bit flat but tasty

This coffee is super light at 117, the acidity is lacking for a typical Kenyan but it is very clean. It’s missing a lot of the nuance I expect in an Kenyan coffee
