Detour - Finca Bartolome
COF-DT-0077Julio Palli and his wife Lupe manage Finca San Bartolome, a half-hectare coffee farm in Caranavi, Bolivia, known for its specialty coffee. Through Agricafe’s mentorship program, they have enhanced their skills and gained fair compensation for their work. This coffee features a densely sweet and slightly funky profile, with notes of dried figs and red fruits. Ripe cherries are hand-picked and fermented in sealed stainless steel tanks at the Buena Vista washing station, enhancing the aroma. After drying to 11% moisture, the coffee is sent to La Paz for milling at La Luna, the world’s highest dry mill at 3600 MASL.
