COF-DO-0042Ethiopia Kokosa is Doubleshot’s first washed coffee of the year, sourced from smallholder farmers around the village of Kokosa in the Bensa region of Sidamo. Known for its elegant fruit notes and floral aroma, this coffee embodies the essence of washed Ethiopian coffees. Selected during a spring visit with longtime friend Heleanna, the coffee features a jasmine-like floral aroma, peach fruitiness, and honey-like sweetness. Grown at high altitudes (1500-2300m), the heirloom varieties thrive in fertile volcanic soils. Processed using the Kenyan-style fully washed method, this coffee is vibrant with fresh citric acidity and well-defined flavours.
