Tasting Notes: Dark Berries, Currant Jam, Rosehip

This washed lot from Karimikui, part of the Rungeto Farmer’s Cooperative Society, bursts with the hallmark vibrancy of Kirinyaga. Really liked the taste of this one.

I wasn’t sure exactly what I would get with this roast but i’m not disappointed.

The notes aren’t lying!

Even when I brew “incorrectly”, I still get the juicy blackcurrant flavor out of it. I prefer my coffee juicy, vibrant, and light-bodied, and this bag of beans ticks all those boxes. I would buy it again, but the only thing that deters me right now is the fact that I want to try other beans from DAK!

Fantastic!

This is the first Kenyan I’ve tried from dak and it was outstanding. First brew just over 2 weeks off roast and it was amazingly fragrant with strong plum and black currant flavors up Front. Exceeded my expectations.
