The Eight perfects the WDT and produces a more even, efficient and clean distribution (good-bye funnel and paper clip!). The design and placement of the eight needles allow for optimal performance. The end result is fluffy espresso that is evenly distributed throughout the entire basket. Shots pull more consistently and showcase the espresso in its truest form.

Makes everything consistent

Both my wife and I both make espresso but I do the dialing in as I'm the coffee nerd in the house hold... so this keeps everything consistent between the two of us so that her shots are as good as my shots. Also makes wdt less of a chore at 6am.

Best WDT tool

Ive had a number of WDT tools including a similar Normcore version with thinner needles that bent super quickly. This solves all the issues Ive had with other tools. Thicker needles that retract into the housing, all metal and fits perfectly over the basket. Consistent results every time and it matches my matte black Flair 58 and espresso tools. You get what you pay for. Endgame WDT for me.

Duomo Does It well

I've been using mine for ~ a month now. This product simply does everything you can ask for from a WDT. I give it my "Excellent" stamp of approval.It is delicate, so caution is needed when using it. However, it just works exceptionally. I would buy it again!

Perfect puck prep, every time!

This thing is great! Super fast and easy to get a perfect puck every time. Cleans itself and seems like it will last forever. Quite happy with it even for the higher price tag.

Much better consistency

Prior to this tool, our espresso game was inconsistent. After getting this, we've been getting consistent shots every time. Yes it's expensive, but we think it's a worthwhile investment.

Takes less than 5 seconds to use, evenly spreads grounds with an easily adjustable depth for a variation of portafilter depths. I would buy it again and again.

A couple of minor suggestions: 1) this doesn't affect the distribution at all but the top screw that locks in the depth gets loose very easily with use 2) though nothing a quick rinse wouldn't solve, the brush platform that is meant to clean the distributor does not clean very well.
