Tasting Notes: Black Tea With Lemon, Peach Jam

Father’s coffee from Mustefa Abakeno in the Jimma region offers a clean, tea-like flavour with intense notes of peaches, black tea, and lemon, accompanied by pleasant citrus acidity—perfect for a morning ritual. Mustefa, an innovative producer and registered exporter, runs the Beshasha processing station, where he processes his own coffee and that of local smallholder farmers. His meticulous methods and commitment to sustainable agriculture yield exceptional coffees with complex flavours. The coffee is produced using a washed process, with heirloom varieties grown at high altitudes, resulting in a unique and refined cup profile

Balanced, Clean

I use Hario V60 with 4:6 brewing. The cup is clean and balanced. Closer to apricot than lemon in the tasting note, with a bit peach. Great price

Pleasant cup

First time drinking Father’s. This was a nice medium light roast profile on this washed coffee. There was a nice tea base to this coffee with nice but subtle lemon and stone fruit acidity. Nothing jumped out of this cup, was just pleasant.
