Produced by Melese Wolde in the Shantawene village of Bensa, Sidama, this coffee comes from a farmer who has built a formidable reputation for quality since obtaining his own export license in 2018. The lot features the 74158 variety—a selection from the Jimma Agricultural Research Centre (JARC) known for its excellent cup quality and resistance to disease. This specific lot underwent an anaerobic natural process, where cherries are fermented in a low-oxygen environment before being sun-dried on raised beds. This modern processing technique, combined with the extreme altitude of 2,000–2,100 meters, results in a vibrant and tropical profile characterized by lush notes of guava and pineapple, balanced by bright calamansi acidity and a delicate rose-like floral finish
