Rosso - Specialty Instant! Daydream

I am currently on a mission to try lots of Canadian Third Wave/Specialty Instant Coffee. I have only tried a handful but I would say that this was enjoyable but could be better. I used the bottom end of the water recommendation and felt that while I could vaguely detect the stated tasting notes, it was very faint and ethereal. My preference is for clearer notes and a thicker body which this didn’t quite meet. It’s enjoyable and far better than the standard commercial instant coffee or settling for popular chain coffee. The price per satchet is on the lower end of the spectrum for this space which should be factored in, however I do think I’d spend a little more for improved fidelity in each cup but that’s entirely a personal preference. Overall, I did enjoy having tried this.

One interesting thing to note is that each sachet comes with 5 grams rather than the 4 grams per sachet that seems industry standard.

Pretty close to regular Daydream, nice and bright

This is one of our favourite instant coffees. It has a great light roast taste. We would recommend it to anyone who likes light and bright coffee.
