Masha coffee washing station, named after the sub-hill it stands on, is more renowned for its cattle, with "Masha" stemming from the Kirundi word "amasho," meaning "herds of cattle." Built in 1989, the station primarily receives cherries from subsistence farmers who intercrop with food and other cash crops to sustain their families. The coffee undergoes meticulous quality checks, sorting, pulping, fermentation, washing, and drying processes, with Masha station capable of processing up to 750MT per year on its 170 drying beds.
